Michigan colleges add three-year paths to bachelor’s degrees

Several Michigan colleges are offering students a three-year path to bachelor’s degrees traditionally completed in four years. Participating schools include Adrian College, Northwood University, the College of Creative Studies and Davenport University.

The accelerated programs condense a 120-credit curriculum into 90 credits while maintaining the same subject matter through different course structures. Davenport’s program is available to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in applied marketing.

Davenport said students in the three-year track also earn an applied marketing certificate and an associate degree. The university said the program can save students $31,770, the current cost of one year before scholarships and financial aid.
