Saudi parallel market expands as rules add new listing routes

Saudi Arabia’s parallel stock market, Nomu, has hosted 145 companies and one REIT since its launch nine years ago, with 21 listings later moving to the main Tadawul market.

The market allows smaller and growing companies to list under lighter rules than the main exchange, while trading remains limited to qualified investors. Typical Nomu IPOs were covered 2.7 times, but trading after listing can be thin.

Two Capital Market Authority decisions in April allowed SPACs and publicly offered financing investment funds to list on Nomu, broadening the market beyond conventional IPOs and direct listings.

Nomu’s total market value has grown to about SAR 60 billion, and its pipeline into late 2026 was described as strong after delayed 2025 deals.
